While mowing Saturday my little JD developed a bad rattle noise. On inspection I found the shaft for the counterweight had come loose. I tightened the nuts and restarted, engine runs OK but has a light noise. A assume the bushing on the counterweight has to be messed up. The question is are these Kawasaki fc420v rebuildable at a reasonable price? Looking at the JD sight it seems some of the parts are NLA and a quick internet search didn't do much better
There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!!

John Deere discontinued counter weight and bushing so probably screwed.
