Anyone have an idea of why my mower suddenly got stuck in reverse? The shifter don't seem like it is catching on anything like it did before. It's a 5-speed.

does it have a peerless700 it may have a broken shifterkey in side the trans very easy to work if there are mower racers around you they all have parts thats the trans they use most of those guys take the reverse gears out of the trans to lower the rotating mass and less to blow up at 40 mph

Well I figured out that the lower casing is broken and has lots of moisture and corrosion inside the transaxle. So looks like I need a new transaxle. It is a peerless. What other mower were these used in? It's a 5-speed
