Does anyone know if the DD grader's clutch is the same as D17D. I need to get a parts book for this thing one of these days.

Thanks!

the clutch I have in my d grader is based on a wd45 engine. your dd grader may take a later model AC part.

I wouldn't wager a bet on it but my opinion is that the D17D clutch would be the same. I expect that the only issue would be the transmission input shaft and that should be the same regardless if it was gas or diesel so if the clutch from the gas model fits the diesel model should fit as well. One of the suppliers on this site could probably tell you for sure.

Tony, to help him find the right clutch, I guess the question is, my grader has the D17 226 gas engine and the clutch number is 229343, would the D17D tractor use the same clutch? I know when I have looked at a parts book for the tractors the engine part numbers were the same as the part numbers in my grader parts book except for one digit. My grader parts book is specifically for the D grader and doesn't show DD grader part numbers. I looked on your site and it doesn't specifically show a different clutch for the D17D but the 175 and 175D use the same clutch.

The clutch units are the same for the gas and diesel D17's. The WD45 is a 10" unit and the D17 is a 11" unit, even though they both have a 226 engine.  Rick
