Salvage pile is growing

The old machine may have a few other small secrets for me, today when I rolled the cowl I could finally see to the steering pump, not new but newer style, not been on long. Did find the cause for the engine tear down, oil in the radiator, still has sludgy goo in the lower tank.

Is pretty well coming down by the numbers.

Should I manage to get the cowl pivot bolts to come out, should only be a week or so to have it stripped to a finals case.

Old Allis equipment can be pretty hard on the wallet, I bought this unit to get enough parts to keep mine moving, had originally intended to swap my engine into this one but did not realize how much modification had been done to this one before I got to it. Hard parts as rails are becoming non-existent, have to mod the old crawlers to change to cat rails quite often as heard here, engine parts are still somewhat prevalent but like my trans seals are really scarce so we have to make do or modify to make work.

When you find one you consider to buy write all the info on it you can dig up to here, lots of friends with lots of ideas and repair processes.

Yes it only had one, AFTER the last owner went weird and cut away the second mount. Mount and all are gone just gas axe stubble left, don't know why. Looks like the owner swapped sides with the fronts after removing the rears. Rails are still 37 link with lots of adjustment left.

You should see the remaining 'cobbled' crap they installed. The left truck rear support arm is welded, the right side is cracked, don't know how they did that, the bolt for the shovel to truck mount is gone on right a loose pin in it's place, the controls looked as if a bird crapped the welds on them, really awful for the quality in the tree cage and the fact it has new rail chains under it.

I managed to save the pivot bolts but I had to gas axe split the nuts to keep them, Minnpar did have a few replacements, I just have to configure the locks or some facsimile locks for them. I am going to use the entire guard assembly on my old machine once I swap transmissions.
Had the monster out doing some actual grade work today, trans does slip but it will still push and move dirt just slow.

Single grouser track and loader frame - hope the track has not been run much or wear is going to be excessive . It puts a lot of strain on machines when configured like that .
