Our club was donated an A-C road grader. The tag numbers read: AD40-384.

It has a GM 4-71 motor. We are looking for the exact year it was built, and if it was built by Allis, or someone else.

Thanks.
Pre-WW2 A-C tractors on steel wheels...because I'm too cheap to buy tires!

Can't help on the tear, but they were made by Allis, except for the engine of course

AD40, 1952-55, aerial #'s  in 1951, 3951-4310.  Are you sure you are not missing a digit?

These #'s are from Norm's book.  I'll check C. H. Wendell's book, next.

Wendell's book says 1-500 were built in 1951.
