'39 B hand brake sticks?

One of the hand brakes sticks back when you pull it and you have to manually push it back forward. Suggestions on what to do?  Thanks

If you don't have a broken spring you have a rust and crud problem.

There is a spring that hooks over the brake adjusting bolt and the other end hooks into the oval slot on the front of the housing. They are special springs and cost about $8- $10.00 each. Bob
