seems odd you only have 4 bottom rollers. should be 6. was this an ag tractor with the blade put on later? nice restore, looks like you are using an etching primer. good move for a long term paint job.

Thought 4 rollers was standard for the HD-6s and 5 rollers for the long track and loaders.

hello Tim  I don't know much of the history of this dozer as the original owners have gone on. it appears to have been mostly used for one thing. the ripper has been modified to acept one big scarfire. the blade was also moved off center left. I am using a etching primer and should also use a sealer but i'm trying to beat the weather and the bugs.  I have found a none working ripper on a HD5 but the owner won't sell it yet. I got the ripper on this dozer working yesterday. I'll keep asking him about the ripper he might just say yes someday. after all he is an old friend. Don't know much about the rollers .

Dan great job on the orange. The engine is a different color, or is just shadow? What kind of paint did you use? Is it just me or does anyone else notice that there seems to be a dozer hiding behind every tree at Dan's place?

Hello woodbutch  Yes the engine is a different color. the correct police will be looking for me now.  I'm using Dupont Centari Acrylic Enamel from their fleet catalog It shoots easy and holds up good to.   Danny
