 good evening, i loaned a friend my hyd pump for my C to check out his system.  turns out his is bad, wants to buy mine. what is a working used pump worth? it is my only spare.  don't know if i want to sell it. any info would be great, thanks

Man - who needs enemies - but you gatta point - there are not many on the market and most say for parts only - I think there was one on ebay for $50 or so

I'm sure I've got a couple but the shipping would cost more than what I'd ask for the pump.

What I have done in those cases is to swap and rebuild the exchanged parts. You could check with Sandy Lake on part costs. Parts for those pumps add up kinda fast.  Not a lot to that type of a pump to rebuild. Might be the non working pump would only need a good cleaning inside.  I have had a few apart and I have found rust, crud and broken springs to be the cause of most of the problems. I have never found one that was not repairable myself. I am sure you could run across some that were junk.
