There is an N6 Gleaner coming up for auction close to me.  The ad says it has only 880 seperator hours.  Does anyone now the years to go with serial # ??  The ad shows a serial number of #788184.  This number doesnt seem right to me from ads I see on tractohouse.  It has a tan interior but the side sheilds do not have the large N6 logo that I am use too.  I am just trying to find out what year it might be.  I will try and post pic but havnt done that yet.

Thanks for your help
Brad

That would be a 1984, right about when deutz took over. 8801 is the begining number in swinford's. I'm guessing the last two numbers tell the year and the first four are the serial.
