Does anyone know if the shuttle clutch control sleeve (a split type sleeve with bolts) can be changed out without splitting the tractor. It looks like there might be enough room through the side plate but it is tight. I guess my question is, that when the shuttle handle has been removed and the sleeve rotated to vertical, are the bolts and nuts that secure the sleeve accessable from both sides? Has anyone been successful in doing this?
The power director has the same sleeve but does not get moved as much as a shuttle or "reverser" would, and probably wouldn't experience this failure in its lifetime.
This is a 1962 Industrial D 15 with the 500 series loader and Henry  Mark IV backhoe.
Mr. Welte knows the answer if he's out there.
Thanks,

It can be done on a farm tractor after removing of the lever and shaft. Access is only from one side. If there's any oil cooler stuff in the way, I'd bet it would have to be removed to allow enough room.
