I have found a free photo resizing website before.  I quit using it though, as it was as much work as photobucket, and that is where I have my photos anyway.  With photobucket, you can set your photos to 'message board' size, so they are always the same size.  Once on photobucket, you just copy and paste the 'img' code, remove the 'img' from the front and back of code, remove the 'http' as this site automatically puts one on, and there it is.

If you have the snipping tool in your version of windows OS then use that to copy your picture and save as a new file. This works to resize picture to easily post, also change picture format to jpg. as can be saved as that file.

I can't get the copy to work in photobucket.  When I right click it does not give me the copy option.  It says global settings and a couple of other things, but cannot get the copy option anymore.  I haven't been on photobucket for a while.  Do I need to change my settings or something?

Dave - if you are logged into photobucket you can resize the photo directly.  First log in, select the album (if you have albums), then click the picture to pull it up.  Move the mouse over the picture and a command bar will appear the top.  One of the commands is "resize" move the mouse over that and and a drop down menu with size options will appear, click the size you want to resize the picture.  Mike

Sky, resizing isn't the issue.  I don't seem to be able to click on the picture anymore and be able to copy it into the forum.  Don't understand what is going on?

When I post pics I email them to my self. When it asks if I want to shrink them to make them go faster I click that option then lable them resized and put back in my pics to post on the forum.

Dave, don't right click on the picture. Just hold the cursor over the picture, then go down and copy the image code and come back to your reply box and paste it.

It doesn't let me copy the image code.  When I move the cursor down, it goes into the hand shape and treats the image code like an internet link.  Do I have something set wrong with the page or something.  It never used to act like this.

Dave, just click on the image code when it does that, it should copy it automatically now and say "copied".  Photobucket did update a few months ago.

Why not download and use Irfan View??  This is the easiest photo software out there for this sort of thing!!  http://www.irfanview.com/
You can open your picture in IrfanView and then go up to 'Image' then down to 'Resize'Resample' then go to the right side and choose any of the choices including 'Half' then just save the pic and upload it to here.
