We Work for Victory and We Plan For Peace

Few remember the industrial giant that was Allis-Chalmers. From sawmill, wheat grinding, cement machinery to farm equipment - they were instrumental in the success of our nation. The war time production of superchargers for piston driven aircraft engines is one of the most overlooked products of our wartime effort. Later the development of hydrogen to electricity powered our space effort and the electrical division and later the nuclear power generation was landmark as well. The simple multi strand v-belt - Textrope- put us decades ahead in power transmission.  The lists of products and innovations have filled books. One key reason for it's demise was they had much better engineers than salesmen and lobbyist.
