What should the running oil pressure be on aD17?

For a full-flow lubrication system on a gas engine, the max you should ever see would be about 35 psi, as the regulator is set for 32 psi. Why don't you tell us what you have at wide open throttle and at slow idle and what weight of oil and a "hot" reading would be best.
