Evidently being able to push the pedals and enter the Logging parameters into a ELD is about ALL these new Truck Herders on our roads require.  No Longer required to Read and Comprehend ENGLISH Language, have not got the sense the Good Lord gave ANY other animal as Refuse to Read Signs.  "LEFT LANE ENDS, MERGE RIGHT" or vs a vs, then the Right Lane MUST Turn Right and so on.  NOW as I have returned to work, This Magical Moment not ever ceases to produce.

MoDOT has begun replacing Stop Sign or Lamp "T or Cross" intersections with Cumulative Round Abouts.  Supposed to be Clear as Mud to ANYONE using one.  Was implemented just for the Above crowd where CANNOT negotiate Stop and Go systems or Directional Signage.  Which leads to between six to Twelve times in every Eight hours, Every Day of the week these signs were Ignored on a Cross Road Intersection and currently exist on a Round About.  Trucks plow right on thru and TADA, NO OTHER EBTRANCE so Have to Turn Around.  Damage Shoulder of Road, Private Drives, Secondary Side Roads, Get Stuck OFTEN blocking or Impeding Traffic.  Relentless.

People dont understand Round-a -bouts .... half of the people think its a parking lot and the other half think it mean "close your eyes and pedal to the metal"..
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

It's a race for many in my area. Even saw a county deputy do it.
On the other hand, many in a neighboring town are scared of them and cause delays as well.

I drove semi trucks for years, that didn’t even have jakes.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

When I started mechanic life Jakes were a Luxury for those truckers running the Western states. Elevated capabilities for brake saving as well allowing the machine to slow without brakes brought about the demand as Jakes may need adjustments but not regular replacements.

Many machines still manufactured without a Compression Brake.

Whoever designed the round-about and put a left turn in before the mandatory right turn - needs to be hung by thumbs
Dealing with individuals that do not know what a Yield sign is and figure the other guy already in the circle, is the one who is suppose to be giving way or stop for you also needs to learn to drive.
In a refresher class for lower insurance rates I mentioned I wish the round-about gave more room for truck and long trailers as it's hard to keep trailer off inner circle .
I was told MN mandated the inner circle MUST allow truck tractor and trailer to use that area for turning - have a design to carry full highway weight , when constructed .
