what would it cost to have a a new retainer ring and governor shaft replaced. i think the guy that did the pump was a little high.

At our shop it varys from $450-$550, depending on what it looks like inside, as well as you intended use. what did you pay for yours? There is alot more to it than changing the retainer ring, and I'm not sure what governor shaft you are referring to.

i'm not sure exactly what he did, but he said the pump was in very good shape on the inside. my dad picked the pump up so he talked to him. but  the damage was over $850. and we gave him a pump off of a 7000 for parts.
