Looking for information on paint colors and codes for our AC 1948 (we think) IB. We have seen many IBs in Persian Orange, and have seen a few in various shades of industrial yellow. We would like to use the "official" AC industrial yellow for this tractor. Any ideas on what might be the correct code and shade for the late '40s era? Thanks for your time and assistance. |

I have not been able to find an original paint code for any yellow from any year. Nothing is specific like PO1 & PO2 is. Just a couple of codes but no dates. Like DAR 81985, DCC81657, 81233, 81611. Somebody said that they used what ever shade was on the shelf bought from the cheapest supplier. |

Many IB's came from the factory Persian Orange 1. They could however, and many times were, special ordered with a custom color for companies, road crews, government, etc.

Hi friends...thank you for the info. It seems that dad is going to use Persian #1 - the IB was yellow, but dad is a traditionalist and loves the #1. Be blessed!
