    Posted: 18 Jul 2023 at 8:56pm
Anyone had any luck finding affordable seat cushions for the early 175-185-200 tractor seats?? Black vinyl bottom and back cushions, flip up arm rests and 1 inch square tubes running up from the seat pan to the back rest. I'm talking 1970 thru all of 1973 time frame. P/n's 70255581 back rest, 70256350 bottom cushion and 70255583 arm rests. Thank you.

I see JenSales has every number I listed. Not exactly cheap and not original looking as the OEM ones were ribbed surfaces not smooth.

Dr. I wish I could find a good seat frame like those. I want to switch one of the low back seats on one of mine. I can make one, but it is a bunch of work to match the original. Tracy

They sure aren't very affordable anymore.
Last I got were 5 years ago, got 2 sets; a set for 185 in vinyl and set for 200 in black fabric seat & back. Just before the OEM style arm rests were discontinued.

I'm looking at a tractor that has a good seat pan and back pan, but the cushions are removed. Doesn't get restoration started off very well when you've got to spend $500 bucks to have a decent place to park your tush.

Best seat deal I've found yet is a complete (pan/cushions/backrest) seat assembly for a 706/806 Farmall for less than $200 bucks !! And that is a nice seat with the back rest height adjustable instead of fixed.

Know that feeling well! When getting my 756 going, couldn't get the starter to engage. My uncles idea, new wiring harness. They were just $750 at the time. Problem turned out to be three bad starters in a row! Still has the original harness. Exhaust manifold was cracked, junkyard wanted $500 for one!! I brazed mine up, still working fine. Moral of this story; It's hard to pump big money into something that is a completely unknown quantity like this was.

arm rests are a problem. if metal backing of cushion is good take them to apolstery shop and have recovered. seat and back cushions are available new but the molded arm rest are gone. good luck.

has any one thought about using the seat pan for a d17  and the back rest from a farmall 706 with brackets fabbed to put the two pieces together that could possibly make a nice looking seat that would be comfortable , just thinking about my d17 d project

I can buy a whole IH 706/806 series seat bottom, wrap around back/armrest and the high back rest for $200 bucks. I need to get the FleetFarm store to open a box to be sure those parts are all there. What it doesn't include are the side brackets to attach the wrap around back/armrest to the bottom cushion. I'd have to fabricate those, but that is a pretty nice seat with good back support at a good price.

Try this link:

They have quite a few tractor seats (I didn't say inexpensive, but they do have them!):

EDIT: This seat looks very similar to the original 175/185 seat.
