Gosh guys it was a beautiful evening for a bike ride. 75°, low humidity, very little wind, etc. I had to drop off a business check at the bank tonight. There must have been 30+ guys and gals on em headed out of town. I had to get home and pack the van for tomorrow's farmers market or I would have driven down to Macksburg and seen how many of them stopped off at the tap for a glass of liquid refreshment.

In a month Sturgis 2023 will be a memory, Aug 5 - 13, 2023.
Costs too much to go very often or maybe I'm getting old. Maybe I'll make it to Sturgis 2025. IF, I start saving $$ and quit buying old farm equipment and putting $$$$ into them. My bike will be 25 and I'll be 70.
Need to go to farm tomorrow and look for wind damage. Only had a few dead small branches on ground by the house this morning, was windy (60+) but no rain here.

Been out to Sturgis around 15 times or more , first time was 1965 and my 65 Norton N15cs scrambler , since have ridden out and trailered out . Getting to old for that tent camping and can't afford the cost of motels even if you can find a open one as they are booked years in advance .
last time out stayed at Drag Pipe Saloon and camp grounds and was $25 for the week for camp site . Trailered 2 bikes out and slept in the Jeep .
Another year son and I took 6 bikes out , ended up had problems with 2 m mag went bad on his 52 Matchless and burned a hole in piston on 71 Triumph .
Next had snap ring on my 75 Norton MK3 break but a friend out there let me use his shop and fixed the problem as he had the clutch tool to compress the diaphragm spring and installed part of the cir-clip to hold clutch together .
