My 645 engine is getting tired, wondering if putting a 5.9 cummins in it would be enough umph for it...i think it would be more fuel efficient, anyone re engined one of these loaders?

I have seen that done but not by me. Yes, it would be plenty of power but some of the reconfiguration take a little ingenuity to make everything work. Not hard, just a lot of thought and minor expense of locating things.
A career built on repairing and improving engineering design deficiencies, shortcomings, and failures over 50 years now.
