Dave,
That's a great suggestion. Wonder if it would ride up any? I like the concept.

Guys,
Still plowing snow over here. No real large amount, maybe 3-4 inches last night. The D14 started ok but not as well as the CA. It got the job done again today. Temps are around 25 deg F.
Stay warm out there in Orange Land!
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

tadams, Folks,
Thanks for the warning!
We have been hanging in the shop working a little on the sliding doors.

Guys,
Plowing today I hear this growling sound in the under hood area.
Kept plowing. the noise reduced but did not go away. When I shut off the tractor it sounded like the starter was trying to run but not engaged? tapped the solenoid and it stopped. Charged the battery and after cool down it started up ok. Humm Maybe bad started or solenoid??
yea its winter but supposed to warm this week?

 Chris and Cheryl

Sounds like the solenoid was hanging in. check for poor connections, too.  pull the inspection cover on the back end of starter and check for heat damage on the brushes.  6 volt, right?
