Not sure where to post this, but I'm curious as to what you guys have encountered as far as "machinery fails" ??
My first was in a bean field with a '75 model F that I needed to "stop" an incoming "slug" and pushed down on the foot clutch (gear drive) and the pedal went to the floor .That took me a few seconds to decipher what was going on That fix was a broken turnbuckle yoke. Dad was planting "end rows" with the 180 (tractor) years later and had a front wheel go 90*'s off of the other front due to a "loose" clamp on a recent tie rod replacement, he just pulled into the field after "roading" . |
