Paid $9.04 for one yesterday . Can't recall what they used to cost , but seemed pretty high to me . Oh well , I only needed one . Still gets me that it came from Sweden . World we live in I guess ? Thanks !

If it was "select" grade pine, that's about right. Never seen "made in Sweden" on wood before, either. |

Made by IKEA ??? cuple decades agook maybe 3, I was getting drywall from your area of the World... Seems it was cheaper to haul boatloads of gysum out lake Ontario, St. Lawrence river, atlantic ocean to mill in NC or SC (same to me...) then haul drywall BACK to Canada. Sad thing is the gypsum mine is 27 minutes from me ....

As luck would have it , my 19 year old table saw drive belt just came apart . Found a receipt for 1" x 4" x 8' in my paper work . Cost $1.99 apiece back in 2002 . Oh well .

Yea, i was going to say a 1" x 6 " only 6 ft long was less than $4. 18 months ago.
The $75. sheets of 1/2 inch plywood have dropped to $55. at Menards... in last 2 months. that was $20. 2 years ago.

Amish built our new 60X136 pole building two years ago and all the 2X4s came from Sweden,nice lumber.
