Looking at a '12 350 SD with a 6.2 V8 in it. Do/are these engines  subject to the same ailments as a 5.4 (snapped plugs/cam timing) ?

From what I have heard the Ford 6.2 is a very good engine. I drove one for a month last spring and really liked it. I did not tow with it but did haul 2000 lbs of sap in it  several times, with no problems.
Please Dont buy a Chevy!:)
 Regards,
 Chris

I have driven one since 12.  Nary a problem.  Also tow the 10K fifth wheel with it back and forth through the Smokies.

All of the brands have their own problems.. All of the brands are Popular with certain people. All of the brands continue to sell  millions of trucks every year ........... That could not happen if there was a MAJOR ongoing problem that never got addressed.

EDSEL ??....... How about a CORVAIR ? Wink
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

6.2's have been very good.   5.4's were pretty good thru 2003 and after that they were junk.
