I don't follow him but hear him interviewed every so often.  I don't agree with some of his thinking but overall, he is very pragmatic.  Doesn't allow his personal feelings interfere with his analysis which very few people can do.  You never leave wondering how he feels about something.
Maximum use of available resources!

Every once in a while I catch someone interviewing
him, at times he tends to be a bit of a ‘middle of the roader’.
Politically, on certain topics he wants to surrender before the battle even begins, although it may be battle you know can’t be won, you need to ‘take it to the enemy every time’ as it will may weaken them enough, you have a chance on getting a victory on something you really wanted.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.
