There's one for sale on our local C/L, I am unfamiliar with this tool, what does it do ? I "assume" that it's different than a portable sheller ?? Thanks.

you run the grain thru it and it sciwshes/flattens it out. kinda makes the grains look like small corn flakes. it doesn't grind the kernals

Some do a little more than that, the multi-roller units run the rollers at different speeds so as to crush and tear the grains apart, the larger mills separate grain kernels from outer sheath or Germ and can then crush to a flour consistency cleaner/faster with less Grits.

Worked a short time at Siemer Milling Teutopolis IL, mechanic on their rental road equipment.
