Were AC power units ever sold mounted on factory running gears? I bought a AC L power unit I want to restore, and would like to mount it on a running gear to move it around with. I have a nice JD steel wheeled gear, but that seems wrong...

Does anyone have a brochure of the early power units?

Also, did this unit have a L model plate inside the diamond on the radiator castings?

I almost positive I see a “B” Farmall to the left behind that power unit in one photo. Am I right? By the way nice looking power unit but I haven’t a clue as to your question. I’d put it on what I could find and paint it orange myself.

The ones they brought in for carnival rides back in the day were on trailers.  I don't know if they were factory tho.

You have an L90 power unit.
According to a brochure i have, it is rated at 110 h.p maximum @ 1080 r.p.m. 844 cubic inches.

The picture in the brochure does not have the "L" in the diamond.

I missed out on buying one a few years back that ran a sawmill. I would mount it on a 6 or 8-ton running gear (an Allis one if you can find one) and have fun running and showing it.

Pre-WW2 A-C tractors on steel wheels...because I'm too cheap to buy tires!

That is a big one.  I was thinking you had a B - C engine not an L90.
Nice Find
You have a real horse.
Good Luck!
