again. It is bone numbing cold here in Iowa. The old farm house is cracking, popping, and moaning tonight. And that Northwest wind, oh my.

Gonna be colder than a WItches henni here tomorrow and this cute little ol weather gal is preaching 40+ this weekend. I guess that means the old gal will figure out something for me to do outside. At least I am down in this horseshoe shaped valley with the opening to the southwest. I dont get the wind outta the northwest. I stopped in to the F/S office and paid for another 250 gallon of LP today. $357.00 later, then stopped at the insurance agent and paid 1/4th of the farm INS.
He was on the phone arguing with a guy about a house he owned in another county. Agent had forgotten to pay his taxes in October. It was an expensive day for both of us. Hoping you all are ok. |

1:30 am Thursday morning it's -6 F & -38 F windchill now, but the snow was light and short lived. Tuesday afternoon it was in mid 40's & clear blue sky, What a change. The wind has slowed but can still hear it well. Sure glad I no longer have to be outside. Now if I just knew what the heck woke me up about 1. Oh well, back to bed soon.

Went out and shoveled the additional 1.5" of Shamers pretty and about froze my tush off. No I didn't have my long handles on. Was only -24 wind chill. I got that snow up in the air and the wind just took it over to the neighbors...When is spring?

Shamers machine had competition from the south wind we only got a couple inches of wet slippery stuff last night but it was enough that some school closed supposed to get into single digits tonight with a high of 19 tomorrow. It will be a good day to snuggle with your honey for Valentine's Day then back to the 30s for the weekend then up to 50 Monday or Tuesday. Grounds not froze here just wet a soggy
