Got this out of my grandmother's house years ago, think it is an Italian breadstick pan but really don't know.
aand after some cleaning and greasingand why eleven slots and not 12?

I'm thinking either cornbread or hotdogs!  Maybe only eleven so it would fit in the oven.  Ovens were smaller back in the day.

As to why 11?  prolly cause that's the most they can get to fit in the sand mold box they were usin to cast it...WinkWink

For makin corn sticks for dipping in soup or chili.👍
Grease it up good then put it in the oven while you mix up the corn bread. It should sizzle when you pour the batter in. That will leave a golden crust all around that won’t fall apart.

I found some at an Estate Sale once.  I've been using them as a mold for lead.  Lots easier for using than a big chunk.

Looks like some thing you'd incline in a stream bed and pan for gold with. Was she a 49er with a daughter named Clementine?
