Be kareful out there guys. We traveled about 60 miles to Grimes Iowa on I80. There are people in the ditches, both right side up and on their tops. Cops everywhere. They are needed. Wish I was home building new bee hives. Old gal would not have stopped bitching for a week if I had not come to this darn meeting.

If you are looking for highway conditions, check the 511 site for the state you are travelling in. When I was working, one of my responsibilities was to keep the 511 site updated for my area.

It can be a valuable tool when travelling.

Guys the road surface wasn't that bad. But comming home there was a Jeep on its top in the north ditch. It had to happened a few minutes before we passed going to the meeting. Cops were there then, but the Jeep was so far down in the ditch we did not see it. There were 2 SUV's in the center median just across the interstate from the Jeep. They weren't there when we went to the meeting. They must of 🐝 n gauking around looking at an ambulance. At least they were top side up.

People seem to forget that just because they have 4 wheel drive, they can't stop any better and usually they have a  higher center of gravity so they fall over easier.

X2. And they want to drive just as fast as they do on dry roads. And what about the ones that have front wheel drive and still put the chains on the rear? At least it helps with braking.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

lol...I've been watching stupid drivers for close to 50 sum years...was at a café/bar combo having coffee one night, watched 2 drunkin idiots come outta the bar, was snowing sum, they gots stuck in the sloped parking lot, but the driver said that's o-k, he has chains for the car. it took them awhile of falling down and resting and re-jacking and cussing, but they finally got the chains on both rear wheels. he was driving a Caddy Eldorad with front wheel drive! LMAO everyone in the café were laughing, but no one told them! they caught a ride with someone, the car sat there for several days.

I just saw a u-tub about cars being towed. It said that more Jeeps were towed because of illegal parking, than any other make.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

LARS!!!!  SHUT UP an git yer azzzzz back here to good ole WI.  We miss ya.

It was a little shaky coming home yesterday morning too.  Roads weren't too bad, but the idiots............WATCH where you're going and NEVER MIND what the cops are doing over there, or the Fire Dept, or the paramedics and ambulances.  YOUR job is to get safely where you're going and you can find out about whatever it was later on the news.
