NGK says B5ES for a 262. The second number is the heat range. If it's too cold, move up a number or two.

I don’t know the entire science behind spark plugs, and I can’t remember the number of mine. I recently put new Autolites in my WD45 with an E Gleaner in.
My cousin and I were trying to figure out which ones to put in, and from what my cousin found out, is that the heat range on them is only the projection of the ceramic length.
I’ll check next time I see mine and give you the numbers on them, but by that time you’ll likely already have replaced yours!!

True that there is more ceramic insulator on the core of a hot plug, but it's built in a way that usually doesn't extend the tip. Too cold of a plug will foul. Too hot of a plug will burn and possibly cause predetonation.
