Say I haven't gained any weight yet. That's good I only got 2 more punkin pies and 1/2 a huge pecan pie to finish. Getting on the down hill side of them left overs. Turkey is gonna get picked thru for bones and meat will be tossed to the dogs. This thing musta been a 10 year old bird. Nasty

Tom, hope that turkey did not make you sick, been reports of some making it to the market that were contaminated with bacteria. Poultry and fish are the worst meats for harboring bacteria. Don't worry about gaining the weight, I took care of that for you.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

Nobody sick, dogs ate well. Never seen anything like it, old gal been cooking these things for 48 years. I think she's got it figured out, just a bad bird. Didn't stink while cooking. Oh well.

Like you say Tom, it's probably and OLD male (Tom) (hehehe,,,,,couldn't resist that there) turkey.  We had one like that a few years ago.  Took it back in the kitchen and put it in the pressure cooker,,,,,,that didn't work either!!  Finally just threw it out.  I think I cracked a tooth on it! Wink
