If anyone needs new bearings for the sickle drive on their 80 mower, I have found a few. The bearings in particular are the outer bearings on the sickle drive. They are the ones that are on the ends of the little "pitman" arms that attach to the crossbar. I hope this makes sense. The bearings are hard to find and are an aircraft bearing.  The guy thinks he has 3 maybe 4 sets. He's not sure what he wants for them yet, but if anyones interested let me know. I'm guessing that he will sell them considerable cheaper than buying them from an aircraft supply company.

If they're the same as on a #7 mower, I'd take a set. The #7 was the first to use the twin wheel drive.

Brian, yes they are the same as a #7 mower. Generic part # is KP8. I didn't have much trouble finding replacements for my #7. Local bearing distributor couldn't locate them even though it had FAFNIR KP8 stamped on it. Once I got home I did an internet search for it and found an aviation supply company in Calif. that had 300+ in stock. They were expansive tho', about $35-$40 each if I remember correctly.

I talked to the guy and he wants $34 a bearing. There are four sets available with three sets possibly taken. So if anyone needs a set there is one set left. I think I can ship them for about $5 to $6 dollars in a priority mail flat rate box with delivery confirmation. Let me know if your interested!

The older No. 7 mower used a KP6 bearing.  Newer No. 7 and 80 series mowers use the KP8.  I've gotten them from Aircraft Spruce: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/kpbrng.php
