Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find information on a M70 motor grader? I have the model and serial number. Model a-1 9800 serial number 33553. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

M70 was the replacement for the 145T. produced from 1963-66 but only 250 units. it used the 7000 engine. 344 cu inch turboed for 115 hp. the control system was common with the M100 and it weighed 23,100 lbs.
my book shows serial #s listed as 1-250 not sure what those numbers you posted are from.

I got it off the plate that is on the machine there is another plate that says M70-166
|

166 would make it a 1964

A SWAG* here The AC45 (10000 engine) parts book I have has a note that it was used with a 145T - obviously didn't work for the engine So is it possible that the M70 could similarly use the books for an M100? * SWAG = scientific wild arsed guess
