I need to move it down the road a couple of miles and I'm wondering if a trailer with 2 -7000 pound axles would be enough

Is by appearance an AG chassis been improved with the Baker set up. Should be not a problem for a few miles on that trailer, just be watchful and listening when start driving on that rig.

according to the HD5 service manual, the tractor weighs 11,250. that was probably shipping weight, no fuel, canopy or blade. you can take a guess on the blade and canopy. Remember, to be legal, the GROSS on the trailer is 14,000, and you probably would need to deduct the trailer weight, which is probably around 2000.
can you safely do it......I'd say ya, but I doubt you can legally do it

Just a guess but 13,500 on or about - so what is the trailer rated at and what tires on it ?
Also tow vehicle as depending on type of hitch you can transfer up to 20% of load onto tow vehicle .
I figured moving my HD5G on single tire axle setup I needed tri-axle trailer - using a 2 5/16 ball hitch - went to pintle hitch quickly for safety after I had ball hitch break.

thanks for all the replies,
it was probably one of the best investments that I've made since the wife and I bought our 5 acre chunk of land. It skidded all the tree's off and stripped all the topsoil where the new house is and I built about 200 yards of road with it. The little dozer definitely paid for itself
