it took me 3 'total tear down/clean/rebuilds' to get a CA hydraulic pump to run right...
sorry, had 3 Gs, have none now to eyeball what it could be...

Yeah, every time I've cleaned carb, it took several tries before it was good.  Is it possible a gasket is flipped over and blocking a passage?

I had what I guess was a stuck float on a brand new carb.
disassembled, found no problems, reassembled = works fine.
not the first time a take apart/reassembly doing nothing else has "fixed" whatever.
3 Ford 8N's I loan to neighbors, but the '52CA, '41B and little B1 I do not.

From my experience, the usual problem is a clogged jet, but I cleaned the carburetor on my son's G and it would still would not run.  When I pulled the carburetor apart a second time, there was no gas in the bowl.  The problem was the float valve sticking.  The valve was new, so I tried again and it did not work.  Finally found a used valve and installed it and the tractor ran fine.  Even new parts are not a guarantee.
