Can anyone either provide, or direct me to the source of a chart showing the serial numbers for roto balers that were produced each year?   What year did production start and when did it end?   What year did production of the cream toped ones start?
Thanks for your help.   Dale

Pretty sure the production numbers are in Norm Swinford's book.

Here's a chart published by The Upper Midwest Allis-Chalmers Collectors' Club; it's from a booklet titled Roto-Baler How to run your Roto-Baler which is a "reprint from Allis-Chalmers literature":

Enjoy!

Over 75,000, that's a lot of balers.  I wonder how many are still around.

I see one setting beside Highway 79 SW of Henderson, Texas. It has not moved in years.

You knew someone would ask!  Where is the serial number? I have a Roto Baler that's been sitting in the weeds for several years. I mainly kept it for parts (steel, driveshaft, etc), but it's still complete.
Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?

Does anyone have a bale chute like is on the back of the roto baler in the picture?
 Thanks,
 Joe

That chute was just used on the #10 balers. It was used to move the bale out of the way because you baled a single windrow of hay. Most were taken off because the bale wouldn't slide down the chute. I've found that out with mine.
