Most commonly, slipping drive belt or low fluid.

First thing I would do is a fluid change and go from there. Like TMG said, might be low on fluid.

I restored this tractor a few years ago.All new but rearend.Had broken axel when i got it and no fluid. Sat for a few years before i got it.It always worked but would slow down on a grade then speed up going down.Been slowly getting worse.Last few months when i start it it will sit there and not move till i rev it up. Other day started up and took a good 5 minutes to get it to move. Changed fluid this spring and filter. Fill tube set to the book.Right amount of fluid. To the book.Definatly not the belt.Is there a valve that could be sticking?
