C engine overhaul

I have a c with a stuck engine, I am wondering the ball park figures some of you guys are ending up in overhauls with new liners and piston kits? I am sure the block will be ok, and the head should only need a rebuild. Is there such a thing as used engines that are out there for sale? I don't mind if she smokes a bit if the price was good. TI A for your inputs , John.
I support the development of hybrid automobiles and alternative fuels as I need DIESEL fuel for my ALLIS CHALMERS!

My C rebuild cost me right at $2000.  I don't know of a resource for rebuilt AC engines.  I guess you could always get another tractor for cheap and use the engine?  Good luck.
