Here's somethin' you don't see very often. I picked up this Amerind-MacKissic "Mighty Mac" sprayer for the Simplicity and Allis-Chalmers B series Garden Tractors. I don't know how rare it is, if at all, but thought I would restore it and use it around the property hooked to Jo Jo's B110. Mounts by sliding the top part into the swing out weight bracket, and two pins in the hitch and viola! Hook the belt to the PTO and yer' sprayin'! Got the instruction and parts sheets with it and manual on the sprayer. Tank holds 22 gallons...

Very nice! Could use one myself!

If sprayin' bugs, add a  shot glass of dish soap to the mix. Makes the pesticide stick a
bit and hang on better if it rains.  Wink

Thanks for the tip Art!! I'll keep that in mind when I'm ready to use that unit. I plan on using it for all kinds o' things like spraying the trees, bugs, etc.

Very cool! They are pretty scarce, but like last year was for loaders, this year seems to be ripe for the Mac Sprayers and shredders. Took me 2 years of hard lookin before finding a complete sprayer, and this year I think Ive seen 5. The few out east have been cheap too, IMO!

Great grab.

Josh,
Couldn't pass it up for $75. bucks and a 2 hr ride. Did some research on the sprayer. Company is still in business and has parts available!
Very cool! Gonna use it to spray my crab trees and around the property.

Yup, they are alive and well, and have great customer service. BUT...parts prices are out of this world, and the Simplicity-specific components are long since NLA.

I see their self powered sprayers and chippers at auction often, and thats a great way to get parts. The SimpleTractors club president makes reproduction hitches to adapt a stand alone sprayer or chipper to large frame garden tractors, should anyone find a unit they wish to use, that is not setup for tractor power.

Not the best picture of it, but here is mine from the LaPorte GOTO last summer. I have not seen the green tank before, except in a single sales sheet I have. Wonder if its a replacement or if there was a batch where those were used? Is it painted or dyed poly?

Here is a sales sheet I have with what appears to be a hreen tank...newer (early 70's) Simplicity shown with mac sprayer with green tank

A pic I found of mine when I got it...slight variations from yours

Very cool! Your's is very close to mine! Doesn't look like there's much to these pumps. Prices of parts are staggering uh? Didn't git' that far yet. I'm gonna start on it soon to clean it up and restore the unit. I have a pretty close matching green to what's on mine.
