Compared to square balers of its era the Roto Baler even with stopping would bale more tons per hour than any of the square balers.IF and its a big if the hay was raked correctly in the first place. The overdrive unit speeded up tying time and we had one Roto Baler that the conveyor chain never stopped. We'd watch and when the bale was close to being finished before the arm dropped we'd stop the WD45 and let the last of the hay go up the conveyor. If timed right the last of the hay went in while the arm was dropping.Once all the hay went in just start moving and before the first hay was at the rollers the baler had kicked out the bale and was ready to go.
