I need a picture of a track that has been rebuilt using roller chain. I'm not sure of the best location to mount the chain on the treads? My guess is that the chain goes approximately where the outside rivets are and some sort of banding goes where the rubber is? Any pictures would be helpful.

I don't have any pictures but when my dad fixed some of bad areas in his tracks he used links out of the raddle chain of a gleaner combine.   He just welded a link in between the 2 pads. I'd guess it's half way between the rivet and to where it starts curving. Maybe can get a picture here someday.   We need to do more of them someday, that thing is a whole project in itself needing a full restore. But it did run and drive until tracks fell apart.

I got a couple of pics the other day and am supposed to get a couple more today from another one so I can figure out the best option.
