I dont know how much power the original water pump pulls. the water passages in the block are blocked off by the massaged sleeve size.  Water will flow only through the head in the back casting plug and out the front casting plug .the reason for the oil cooler also.

I was real curious if the starter would turn her over with a 12 volt battery or if the 16 volt race battery was a must . it turned over with  the 12 volt but the 16 will go on it for the 7 box the 6 box pictured will be removed.

Can you tell us the cube? The biggest I've seen is 440 but I heard of a little more than that.

Its 400 plus its not as big as 440. On the boxes 6 is a msd 6 al ignition box the 7 is the msd 7al2 ignition box . The 7 was to much energy for the small cap delco distributor and the 6 box wasnt enough energy for the compression ratio. So the hei distributor cap remedied that. I have heard of 500 inches but I havent seen it somethings are like fish stories they get bigger the more they are told.
