Wow, what a trip. And to think I complain about driving 100 miles just to buy wheel weights.

Somebody not get those wheel nuts tight after a repair? That had to have been a ride. Glad no one got hurt.

I had a 96 GMC diesel once....studs were undersized for a truck. Always had to replace a couple every time I did a 5000 mile tire rotation. I can imagine duals would put even more stress on them...especially on the AlCan.

Congradulations on having a very successful trip. Golly, I missed any earlier posts about this unusual trip. Would appreciate some of the pertinent info such as intended use at destination, why he chose this option, fuel mileage, did he try to get any vehicle sponsors, starting point, final destination, did he have a mechanic/co-pilot, etc. TIA. Herb

Alaska is one of the places I definitely want to see.
Nice to see global warming is helping out so Alaska can grow more small grains. LOL |

Sad part about using the right truck for the job, a semi tractor, puts a guy under a whole new set of rules(dot) plus expensive license and insurance.
