How close in capacity were the C/Cii vrs the G's? we had  several C's in the neighborhood but no G's. This was 40 plus years ago,but I am curious. Were either a 8 row corn machine? Thanks

The G was an increase in size over the CII. Everything was made a bit bigger. Engine, cleaning area, cylinder width, bin size, etc. to accomodate increased capacity.
And yes, both were 8 row machines, and both could have up to a 24' grain platform. Dad ran a G on a custom crew when he was in high school, and he said the G was something that none of the competitors could match. (And he came from an all green farm) He said one of the G's on the crew was a hydrostatic drive machine, and that was something new and great for the industry.

The C series was mid to late 60's,correct? 8 row capacity would have been monstrous back then. Granted,BPA were probably 150 ish ??
