My first 7000 series. First year PD, serial #1103. So far I have put two new batteries and built new cables. Pressure washed it and removed the auxillary fuel tank which I don't need. Ordered a solenoid for the starter to move it into the shop to pull injectors. Looks like someone installed the spin-on bypass filter at some point. Long term plan is to install a ROPS half cab, paint, new front tires, etc.

Anyone care to put a value on the auxillary tank and dual hubs? They need a new home.

Why would you take the aux tank off?

Just don't have a need for it. Hope someone else does. Filter access is better.

It wasn't the soleniod. Starter has issues. Got a new gear reduction starter headed this way that is supposed to fit. Let's see how that works out.

New starter done. Injectors made it to Ed today. He said some were pissers? If I can get the tobacco field in shape this weekend new water pump, hoses and an oil change while waiting for the injectors are next on the list.

You should really like that tractor. I have a 7060 also, but it's a black belly and a power shift. The 426 engine seems to be right at its best level of perormance at the 7060 horsepower range. Darrel

I fully intended to repaint the belly black but the maroon has grown on me. Now I have to find maroon paint!

I'd also say to keep it maroon. Black would probably look nicer, but it wouldn't be right if it got changed. Never used to care much for thee maroon bellies, but they've kind of grown on me. I guess in a nutshell, the maroon is not all about making the tractor the sharpest lookin one out there, but more so gives em some unique character that only Allis chalmers could come up with. Darrel
