If I did it right 350ci/5.7L=61.4ci*8.3L=509ci That should do right nice. I also see the starter on the same side as the batteries. I like that. Great job.

Hours, too many to count! If I had started with a good engine, had a adapter plate, flywheel and all the other odds and ends, so it was putting it in it wouldnt be too bad. I did a total rebuild of the engine, bought the flywheel and adapter plate, and adapted or made a lot of brackets, motor mounts, alternator and other things. Lots of trial and error. The second one would be much quicker.
It fit like it was made for it. I will get more pictures today. Ed at heritage diesel did the pump work and his buddy Rob were a big help! Got about 60 hours on it so far, so good!

Nice job, Gets me inspired. I know where one is sitting that has a cummins in it already. Farmer ran it hot, drove it home and parked it. I just have not been brave enough to ask what he will take for it. I don't need another project right now ,lol. Post all the pic you have.

looks great, just looks like that cummins ought to been there in the first place,, not knockin the 426...I think the higher HP tractors sure needed a updated engine...
I jus think the 8000 series were a really good machine,,,,way ahead of their time and economy of the early 80's |

Is there a muffler?
Or did you go a size bigger on the stack above the hood? |

No muffler, its a standard Allis exhaust pipe with a chrome pipe over it. Got both pipes from Thorume, in East Prairie Mo. I havent got an asperator on it yet, maybe later.

Would recommend some sort of heat shield next to the turbo, We've had it burn the paint off the side panel!
