ya gotta earn yer keep! So thet JD 60 is headed fer the auction block. I was gittin tired of repainting the dang thing every weekend. An it has this original 801 3 point hitch on it is what I think they call it, an a rear blade. How hard will it be to make thet WD use thet blade?

It's only got 2 of them lifting thing-a-ma-jobbers on the back. Or iz that blade gonna be to big to make that WD do the werk of a John Deere? I think thet blade originally was on the back of a Ferguson 40 I had. But I lost the 40 in a fire. I don't remember.

The blade iz yeller, prolly jest a tractor supply thing. Or do ya need to see a pickshure?
I still gots my A/C but it's clear out in the barn now.

You could buy a 3 point adapter, for around $600, or just bodge something up for the blade.   A big SC plow hitch makes a cheap adapter...Wink

Hey Les, an AC rear blade is heavier than any other I have seen & used. The WD handles them just fine. There is an AC SC to 3 point adapter on CL over here on the east side of MI for $325. It has been on there for a long time too. Unless you still have the pin hitch on your WD.

Well if you don't try and paint over the oil and dirt it wouldn't fall off every week.  Ermm

As for the fire those old Ferguson 40's were pretty stout pieces of metal so I suspect had you dug through the ashes you would have found it.   Probably would have needed fresh fuel, an oil change and some tires but it more than likely would have ran as well as it did before the fire. Tongue
