Hi, new member here. I recently acquired an Allis Chalmers B and part of the package was a sickle bar mower in the weeds. Where do I find the model number info on the machine? What are some of the identifying features that may identify this mower? Thanks

the standard sickle mower for a B-C tractor is just called  "The B-C sickle mower".... it has a frame under the tractor and a main shaft to the back and is belt driven by the PTO.. Sickle bar sicks out the side of the tractor and is driven by a wooden arm and CAM on the center driven shaft.. It works in the horizontal position only..

there was a second option that has a couple extra short arms and cam at the head end of the cutter bar... That allowed it to PIVOT up 90 degrees and you could trim a hill side... Very few of them around......... i would assume your looks like to picture above.

I have a PDF manual for the mower.. If you send me your e-mail, i can send you a copy.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
