How do you get the instrument panel out I’m trying to replace the oil pressure bulb and ether switch I know it’s brittle and I don’t want to break it I took the lower panel off but it looks like the side panels are holding it. Y’all gonna get tired of me. Just trying to get a few things done before busy season cutting wheat/ planting beans Thanks Kip

I thought the light bulbs were removed once you peel off the see-thru face ?? Which isn't available anymore if you break it. The starter and ether buttons unscrew from the outside and drop out the bottom or take the top of the instrument panel off.

Need to remove both top panels. There are 2 bolts holding the sides to the instrument panel. The lamps are part of a printed circuit board with 4 screws holding it to the panel. That's if you don't want to peel off the face.

After having done it to change bulbs on a maroon chassis tractor, I’d probably splash the cash and just get a new panel legend if the old one breaks getting it off. Save a lot of headache taking the dash loose and prying it out. Maroon chassis tractors don’t have this option. I took the rubber seal out that’s between the cab and the side panels and that’s the only thing that made it bearable.
I realize the one in the link is pretty pricey, you might check your dealer first or have them do a nationwide dealer inventory search. I’ve done that before with good results. A dealer out there has one, just have to find it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/234345459848?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=234345459848&targetid=1263094003826&device=m&mktype=&googleloc=9026393&poi=&campaignid=14859008593&mkgroupid=130497710760&rlsatarget=pla-1263094003826&abcId=9300678&merchantid=113623190&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh-oukbO2ZtW7NOF-x8XUQ_te&gclid=Cj0KCQjwuLShBhC_ARIsAFod4fJUXo4nb0XmhIgmEZtQuJLvFDxQeF2hI_mfJL-trblS-torsq_RTKkaAn4iEALw_wcB Edited by CrestonM - 05 Apr 2023 at 7:46am |

Here is an early post about it. http://www.allischalmers.com/forum/7000-series-dash-removal_topic153829.html Here's another post where Maroon Belly restored his 7000 dash by innovatively riveting a metal plate onto it's cracked plastic dash around the "push-pull" cable for engine shutoff. http://www.allischalmers.com/forum/restored-ac-7000-maroon-belly_topic173969_page1.html
