The "search" here produced no results, so... I'm thinking of getting (or making) a step for my D17. I've seen a few online, for less than $100, one nice one (double support arms) for $165. I could make one, but does anyone have opinions about what's out there?

One that bolts only to the platform usually breaks the platform (over time) if you are a BIG BOY.

I have one of the A&W steps that bolts to the platform and it's a nice step
I worried a little about breaking the platform but decided it wasn't any more stressful on the platforn that putting the corner of my boot on it as a step. Maybe a little worse if I stand and take a rest on the step. I'm not a big boy though so I'm not worried

I'm a bit over 200 pounds. I looked, but didn't see a good spot to bolt in some sort of triangulating bracket to the trans. Maybe I could modify one and/or make a bracket leg to rest on and push against the trans? Anyone have a good pic of theirs?

Have this step on my D-15 . Pretty sure I'm overqualified for the big boy position . So far , I don't see any platform cracks . Maybe a D-15 is different ? Feel sure Dr Allis knows what he's talking about . Thanks

Nice. I like how that one is at an angle. These come in primer only, right? Edited by GSTROM99 - 29 Apr 2024 at 6:12pm |
